CD cover research

this cover is very dark and eerie, this is very stereotypical to the grean of music; as it give a idea of the darker content of the music on the album. by using a white, all caps and simple text, it sticks out a lot more against the dark background; this could be a idea that the songs may be dark but there is some kind of light which shows up in all the songs. also, the bands name is in big red letters; also in all caps. by using this red colour this could show that  the songs contain a violence vibe to them, which could point to some issies that the songs may relate to.  

This cover is is very urban, as the background seems to be a old warehouse; giving an image of grim and dart that time has brunt to the place. from this image you can tell that the bands style is very violent, you can tell this by the tape on the end of the mic; the only reason that would be there would be because the singing has pulled the wire out of the mic and has use some tape to fix it. the text is very interesting as it has a complex style, as the text looks as if it is made of tape, you can see this on the end of the "A" and the "K"in the word "ASKING", but at the same time the is a cut thought both of the words gives it a dynamic style. Also, by using big white, all caps letters makes very eye caching and easy to see in a rack of music. but the name of the album is very hard to see as it is on a dark background. 

This cover is is mainly aimed at the band and their the image they portray. The image makes it very easy to see what instruments the band members play, as they are standing right next to them; except the drummer who is sitting down next to a drum. The cover seems to have a very wasted down yellow look to it, giving the image a swampy look; going with the background to the image. also, by using the swamp background helps people to know where the band comes from and the style of there music; this is the southern states of america which is very swampy due to the amount of water moving thought the area into the gulf of mexico. this gives the image a more natural feel, like the band what people to know that there music is natural and is not massively over produced like more modern music. The text at the top of the image is in a old faction style, going with the area that their music originates; the southern styles are know to be very similar to the old english styles from back when england control america. also it is very gothic, going with the general idea of rock music. The text at the bottom of the image is very different to the top, it is a lot ruffle and looks hand draw. The symbols on ether side of the text makes me think of the voodoo styles that the southern states have been know for.
