My progress from Year 12 into Year 13 in Media
For starting media last year, I found media difficult mainly in getting blog posts up on time for deadline, but i found the theory very easy to understand and not down. because of this I must improve my organization skills and get blog posts done on time to the deadline to that i do not fall behind in work.
Reflecting on Music Video Challenge
My role on the film shot was of a assistant producer. my job was to help to organize of shots and taking pictures of others doing there work.
Developing my skills on Final Cut Express
WWW:
- easy to cut down shots to get the shot you want
- easy to move piece of film, helping to organize the overall film.
- you can look and watch the shots before placing them in the film
EBI:
- sometimes the controls are confusing and can causes problems when you delete something by accident
- when you place a new shot in to the film, the sound gets cut; so the music jumps.
What makes a good music video?
when it comes to making a good music you need to think about a number of key elements.
- Audience must have something different to look at all times reducing the chances of Viewer Fatigue. The shots can be of the same scene or area but shot should change to different angles.
- A good video should have some kind of storyline or meaning behind to it, this keeps the audience interested. But not all videos will have this. for example, the pictures in this post is of coheed and cambria's song "the running free"; the video shows images of different cultures and religions which colide with each other in our modern live and how the work together
- you need to be able to easily follow song though the video. For example, you can’t have a dance video that suddenly goes into a shot of the countryside for no reason.
- One of the most obvious, good syncing of lips to words without over-exaggerating them or mumbling though them.
